Game concept
Golden Sheep is an exciting strategy game for two players, where one takes the role of a shepherd and the
other a wolf.
The shepherd must protect his flock of sheep from the wolf, who is trying to capture them, especially the
valuable golden sheep.
Objective of the game
The shepherd wins by either capturing all the wolves and protecting the golden sheep.
The wolf wins by capturing the golden sheep.
Gameplay
The game is played in turns, with the shepherd and the wolf alternating their moves.
Shepherd's turn
The shepherd rolls two dice. He can use the rolled numbers to move the shepherd or any sheep on the pasture.
The shepherd and the sheep can only move horizontally or vertically (not diagonally). The entire rolled number
must be used and the direction can be changed during the move.
If a sheep moves onto a grass tuft, it can trigger an action by using one die.
The possible actions are:
- One sheep enters the barn: A normal sheep can be moved to the barn (if there's space).
- Two sheep enter the barn: Two normal sheep can be moved to the barn (if there's space).
- One sheep leaves the barn: A sheep is placed on any free square on the pasture.
- Two sheep leaves the barn: Two sheep are placed on any free square on the pasture.
- Move a sheep: A sheep on the pasture can be moved to any free square.
- Activate shepherd: If the shepherd was disabled by the wolf, he is reactivated.
The shepherd can also enter the farmhouse to be safe from the wolf.
The shepherd can close the gate if he is standing directly in front of it and the wolf is not on the pasture.
One rolled dice is used for this.
If the shepherd lands on the wolf's field, the wolf is removed from the game and a new wolf must start in the
forest.
Wolf's Turn
The wolf rolls one die. First, he must move to the gate of the pasture and stand on the square directly in front
of it. The wolf can only open the gate if he rolls an even number.
After opening the gate, the wolf may roll again to move on the pasture. The entire rolled number must be used.
On the pasture, the wolf can move in any direction (horizontally, vertically or diagonally). Here, too, the
entire rolled number must be used and the direction can be changed.
If the wolf lands on a square with a sheep, that sheep is removed from the game. If the wolf captures the
golden sheep, he wins the game.
If the wolf lands on the square with the shepherd, the shepherd is sent to the farmhouse and is no longer
available. The shepherd player now has only one die available.
The wolf player has three wolves total. If one wolf is captured, the next wolf enters the game (starting in the
forest). If all wolves are captured, the shepherd wins.
